The Boma is probably the liveliest of dining experiences in Victoria Falls. It is situated on the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge property, outside of the town limits. The open air restaurant offers a large seating capacity, so it is a great activity for large groups and families. The Boma experience includes plenty of traditional Zimbabwean dishes and game meat, with entertainment throughout the evening.
The restaurant is open all-year long. It offers a family friendly atmosphere with lots of fun things for children as well as adults, including face painting, drumming, a traditional storyteller and an interactive dance and drum show.
You will be picked up from your accommodation from 7pm and driven to the restaurant, where a welcome drink will be waiting for you. The Boma means “place of eating”, and indeed guests may eat all they can, beginning with a platter of starters, then you are invited to the buffet where you will find salads, soup of the day, a selection of roast meats and game meat, potjies, fish, starches, a few vegetarian dishes and desserts. After the drum show, you will be taken back to your hotel/lodge around 10pm.
