Victoria Falls is only an hour’s drive from Chobe National Park in Botswana. Chobe is home to some of the most highly concentrated elephant populations, as well as a variety of wildlife, both plains game including roan antelope, puku, sable, eland, giraffe, as well as predators such as the lion and the elusive leopard. On the river, you also get to see the hippo and the Nile crocodile.
This full day trip is available all year round, but wildlife and birdlife sightings will depend on the seasons. Pick up is from 7am, and a 70km drive takes you to the Kazungula Border. Please note that you may need a visa to cross into Botswana, so ask your agent to assist you with the relevant information before you travel.
After the border proceedings, your transport will take you to a local café for a mini breakfast before you board the boat for a morning cruise on the Chobe River. Explore the serene Chobe River where you may spot crocodile, hippo, and the animals that come to the shore for their morning drink.
The cruise lasts until just before lunch time, which is served at a local restaurant. After lunch, you will board an open 4x4 safari vehicle for a game drive into the park. The drive will take you parallel to the Chobe waterfront, where you may spot different animals as they make their way to the river to quench their thirst.
After the game drive, you will be taken out of the park and back to the Kazungula Border, and onwards to Victoria Falls town, where you will be dropped off around 5:30pm.
